Battle of the Best

Either Utah (2021, 2017, 2015, 2014) or UCLA (2019, 2018, 2016) has captured the crown at the past seven Pac-12 Women's Gymnastics Championships. Following last year’s event, six programs from the Conference were 2021 National Collegiate Women’s Gymnastics Championships regional selections and two teams (Utah, California) advanced to the national championships in Fort Worth, Texas.

Olympians Made Here

The 2022 Pac-12 Women's Gymnastics Championships will feature a strong connection to the recently-concluded 2020 Tokyo Olympics, with four Olympic medalists beginning their collegiate careers on Pac-12 campuses this season. Oregon State's Jade Carey (USA) won an individual gold medal in the floor exercise, UCLA's Jordan Chiles and Utah's Grace McCallum were silver medalists in the team competition with the United States, and Utah's Amelie Morgan helped Great Britain to team bronze, its first gymnastics medal since 1928.

Rounding out the Pac-12 freshmen with Olympic ties are UCLA's Brooklyn Moors, who competed for Canada in Tokyo, and Utah's Kara Eaker and UCLA's Emma Malabuyo, who were alternates for the United States.

Maverik Center

The Pac-12 held its championships for women’s gymnastics at a neutral site for the first time in 2019 and will host the event's 35th staging at the Maverik Center for the third time. Located in the heart of the Salt Lake Valley in West Valley City, Utah, the Maverik Center can seat over 9,000 for women’s gymnastics.

Television Coverage

Pac-12 Networks will air 21 women’s gymnastics meets this upcoming season, including the 2022 Pac-12 Women’s Gymnastics Championships on Saturday, March 19.
