MEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Fabien Salle, Sr., ARIZONA STATE (Geneva, Switzerland)

  • Secured two of Arizona State's three points in matches against nationally ranked No. 19 Texas A&M and No. 5 Texas.
  • Unranked Salle picked up a singles sweep over Texas A&M's 74th-ranked Raphael Perot (6-4, 6-4). 
  • Paired with Max McKennon, the 42nd-ranked doubles team in the country posted a 6-2 win over Texas’ 23rd-ranked Eliot Spizzirri/Siem Woldeab.

WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jessica Alsola, Fr., CALIFORNIA (Fresno, Calif.)

  • Contributed a pair of singles victories to No. 9 California’s 2-0 dual-match start.
  • Knocked off 30th-ranked Victoria Flores at No. 3 singles in the Golden Bears' 4-3 triumph over No. 2 Pepperdine in Malibu on Jan. 22. 
  • The freshman also defeated Camille Kiss in the Bears' 6-1 rout of UC Santa Barbara on Jan. 21.
