NOT SO MID
Senior midfielder Morgan McCarthy was named the 2024 Pac-12 Midfielder of the Year after another incredible season for the Ducks. McCarthy enters the tournament with a career-high 42 goals and is one of just eight players nationally – and the only in the Pac-12 – with 40-plus goals, 30-plus draw controls and 15-plus caused turnovers.

  • First Oregon player to win Pac-12 Midfielder of the Year.
  • Three-straight all-conference second team selections.
  • 10th on the Pac-12's all-time leading scorers list with 119 in her career.
  • 11th Duck to score 100 career goals.
  • Nine hat tricks this season with three 5+ goal games.
  • Third in program history with 164 career draw controls.
  • Scored a career-high six goals against Furman (March 10).

DUCKS IN THEIR DRUMMOND ERA
First-year head coach Jessica Drummond has wasted no time putting her stamp on the program she competed for from 2009-12. With a 20-12 victory over Arizona State in the home finale, the Ducks set a new single-season program mark with seven home wins, a direct result of her emphasis to "Defend Papé Field" this season. A defensive coach in her time at Vermont, Drummond has brought a new edge to the Oregon defense as the Ducks have held eight opponents under 10 goals this season after doing so just three times across the last three seasons combined.

  • Oregon has clinched its first winning season since 2017.

MENACING MIDFIELD
Oregon's midfield trio of Morgan McCarthy, Anna Simmons and Rachel Pallo have been a do-it-all combo for the Ducks this season. The trio has started each of UO's 14 games and combined for 89 goals, 125 draw controls and 50 caused turnovers.

  • Simmons and McCarthy are the only players in the Pac-12 with 30-plus goals and 15-plus caused turnovers this season.
  • Pallo is one of two players in the league with 50-plus draw controls, 25-plus ground balls and 10-plus caused turnovers. Her 59 draw controls are the fifth most in a season in program history.
  • Trio has accounted for 61.9 percent of Oregon's draw controls (125/202).

SUPER SIMMONS
Sophomore midfielder Anna Simmons has been a revelation for Oregon this season. The youngest of the Ducks' six team captains is second on the team with 33 goals and leads the Ducks with 20 caused turnovers.

  • Two games with six goals and five total hat tricks this season.
  • Broke the program record for fastest goal, scoring in five seconds against Marist. Did so again against UC Davis.
  • One of five players in the Pac-12 with 20-plus caused turnovers.
  • Career highs in goals (33), assists (6), points (39), caused turnovers (20) and draw controls (34).
