ASU receiver Cameron Smith makes a ridiculous diving touchdown catch
With the second quarter ticking closer to halftime and Arizona State trailing Wazzu by two touchdowns, Sun Devils quarterback Taylor Kelly finally got going by connecting with Cameron Smith. This 42-yard bomb for a touchdown, as seen on Pac-12 Networks, saw Smith go full extension.
It seemingly ignited ASU.
By halftime, the Sun Devils had awoken to find themselves down only 24-21. Credit goes to Smith for stepping up following the loss of leading receiver Jaelen Strong, who was out on Saturday with a concussion. Smith had caught five passes for 126 yards by halftime.
