Colorado hits 75-yd bomb to Shay Fields on first play
Playing a ranked opponent in a hostile road environment should lead to some early-game jitters, right?
Don’t tell that to the Colorado Buffaloes. On the first play from scrimmage against No. 19 Arizona, CU quarterback Sefo Liufau threw a strike to freshman receiver Shay Fields, who took the pass 75 yards to the house. It gave the Buffs a 7-0 lead seconds into a battle in the desert.

Hath been quite the rookie campaign for Fields, who entered Saturday night with 40 receptions (second among Pac-12 freshmen coming into the weekend) for 317 yards and three touchdowns. It didn’t take him long to get to 41, 392 and four.
It wasn't enough, however, as Arizona broke away in the second half and won 38-20.
