Cross Country Media Day Quotes

The 2017 cross country season officially gets underway on Friday, Sept. 1, at the Colorado State Invitational in Fort Collins, Colo. The Buffs are coming off a great 2016 season where both teams won the Pac-12 team championship. The women's team placed third at NCAAs, while the men's team was sixth. Head coach Mark Wetmore was on hand to talk about the upcoming season at Colorado's Annual Fall Olympic Sports Media Day on Tuesday.  

Pifer and Barringer Run to CU Athlete of the Week Honors

BOULDER-- Cross country standouts Stephen Pifer (senior) and Jenny Barringer (junior), were named University of Colorado Athletes of the Week for the week of November 5-11. This is the first CU athlete of the week of the year for Pifer and the second for Barringer.  Pifer now has four career honors, while Barringer now has ten moving into a tie for second place on the all-time winner list with former men's basketball star Shaun Vandiver. 

Buffs Announce 2017 Cross Country Schedule

Summer officially started on Wednesday, but it won't be long until the Colorado cross country teams are back competing this fall, kicking off the 2017 campaign on Sept. 1 at the Colorado State Ram Invitational in Fort Collins, Colo.
