BOULDER – The Buffaloes narrowly avoided an upset after the Arizona State Sun Devils took Colorado to five sets (28-26, 25-16, 26-24, 25-23, 15-11) at the Coors Events Center on Saturday night to improve the team to 21-8 overall and 11-7 in conference play. Arizona State fell to 10-20 overall (0-18 Pac-12).
BOULDER – The Colorado Buffaloes volleyball team recorded a 3-0 victory (25-20, 25-18, 25-19) at the Coors Events Center on Friday night to snap a two-game losing streak and improve the team to 20-8 overall and 10-7 in conference play. Arizona fell to 14-11 overall (3-10 Pac-12). It also marked the 12th 20-win season in program history and the first since the 2014 season.
Colorado will host Arizona and Arizona State at the Coors Events Center this weekend in the penultimate weekend of the regular season. The Buffs will face off on Friday, Nov. 17, at 6 p.m. against Arizona. On Saturday, Nov. 18, CU will face Arizona State at 7 p.m.
The Colorado Buffaloes had a 2-1 lead in a top-25 match up against Southern California, but the Trojans rallied back to get the win on Saturday afternoon at the Galen Center. Set scores were 25-20, 17-25, 29-27, 11-25, 11-15.
With just six matches left in the regular season, every match is important to stay on top of the Pac-12 standings. And the Colorado Buffaloes have a tough test this weekend against a pair of top-20 opponents.
