PALM SPRINGS, Calif. – No. 8 Washington (10-2) held off Texas (11-4) for five innings after taking an early lead, 7-2. An explosive start by the Husky offense led to six runs scored in the first two innings giving the team an early advantage over the Longhorns.

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. -- The No. 8 Washington Huskies (8-1) jumped out to a 5-0 lead before No. 20 Missouri (6-3) even stepped up to the plate, but a late rally by the Tigers in the sixth inning resulted in a 9-5 loss for the Huskies in game two of the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic.

Huskies Rally Late To Defeat SDSU

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – In their second game of the day, the Washington Husky Softball team rallied in the seventh inning to beat SDSU, 6-5. The Huskies trailed the Aztecs by two runs going into the final inning of the night, but a home run by Morganne Flores and two RBI's put the Huskies ahead. Taran Alvelo delivered two strikeouts and induced a pop fly into the infield to end the game.
