A sparkling mile run from All-American Amy-Eloise Neale and a Meet Record from All-American sprinter Kennadi Bouyer were the exclamation marks on what was Washington's most complete all-around performance to date at the Husky Classic inside the Dempsey.
SEATTLE – Four weeks ago it was a 3:58 mile. Two weeks ago a school record and NCAA-leading 7:45 3k. Tonight junior Colby Gilbert's hot streak continued as he ran the fastest 5,000-meters ever by a Husky, smashing the UW indoor record by nearly thirteen seconds
SEATTLE - The biggest weekend of the Dempsey season is at hand, as three straight days of action will fill Washington's indoor facility. Featuring multiple Olympians, members of 11 of the 12 Pac-12 conference teams, and many more schools from around the country, the Husky Classic promises to deliver dozens of NCAA Indoor qualifiers and record-setting times.
All-American Colby Gilbert continued the torrid start to his track season today, gliding around the purple Dempsey Indoor oval to break his own 3,000-meter school record in emphatic fashion, the big highlight that capped the two-day UW Invitational.
