32nd Windermere Cup Next Up For No. 1 UW Rowing Teams

The Windermere Cup returns to the Montlake Cut for the 32nd year next Saturday, May 5, with races starting at 10:20 a.m. PT. The annual spring rowing event is held in conjunction with the Seattle Yacht Club's Opening Day parade, which marks the beginning of boating season in Seattle.

Innovation On Lake Washington: UW Rowing's W.E.T. Program

Together with local police, fire and medical personnel, the boating community and team physician Dr. Henry Pelto, the UW rowing team has taken the step of establishing a thorough, but simple, plan to deal with emergencies related to cardiac incidents on large bodies of water, known as W.E.T. (Water Emergency Training)

Hometown Huskies: Athletes Wanted!

The NCAA champion Washington women's rowing team is seeking to give a full-tuition scholarship and a roster spot to the best female athlete in the state of Washington. This opportunity is for athletes who have never seen a boat, or touched an oar.
