It's a motto that Colorado soccer head coach Danny Sanchez has lived by his whole coaching career, leading him to two NCAA Division II national championships at Metro State, and it has benefitted him and his CU teams recently. The Buffs have been the beneficiaries of a number of players that Sanchez recruited out of high school, but chose to go elsewhere to start college, only later deciding to transfer to Boulder.

Coming Off ACL Injury, Zuniga Returns To Lead Buffs To 2-1 Spring Win

BOULDER – It's been a long time coming for Stephanie Zuniga, who missed the entire 2017 soccer season with a torn ACL she suffered just over a year ago. On Saturday, she assisted on both of CU's goals in a 2-1 win over Northern Colorado in the team's second of six spring exhibition games, her first start of the spring.

Orejel Named To Mexico Women's National Team

BOULDER – Colorado soccer player Joss Orejel has been named to the Mexico Women's National Team for upcoming friendlies vs. the United States. This is her first call-up to the full national team after being a part of Mexico's youth national program.

Kornieck Heads To Spain With U-20 USWNT

BOULDER - Colorado soccer player Taylor Kornieck has been named to the U-20 U.S. Women's National Team roster for three upcoming matches in La Manga, Spain. The U-20 team will travel to La Manga March 29-April 10 to face the U-23 teams from Sweden (April 5), England (April 7) and Italy (April 9) in a friendly tournament.

Six Buffs Earn Sportswomen of Colorado Honors

The Sportswomen of Colorado will honor six University of Colorado athletes in March for their outstanding 2017 performances in their respective sports. CU's recipients include:  Sarah Brown (lacrosse), Petra Hyncicova (skiing), Dani Jones (cross country), Kennedy Leonard (basketball), Alexa Smith (volleyball) and Jalen Tompkins (soccer).
