Leonard Selected For NCAA Career In Sports Forum

CU women's basketball player Kennedy Leonard was selected last week to attend the 2018 NCAA Career in Sports Forum. The event will be held May 31 to June 3 at the NCAA headquarters in Indianapolis. Leonard was one of only 200 NCAA student-athletes between Divisions I, II and III out of over 800 applicants to be chosen.

Buffs Making Gains In The Weight Room During Offseason

BOULDER – Colorado's women's basketball team is specifically looking to improve in one important area during this offseason: physical strength. The Buffs, who were a young team last season, lacked physicality at times against some of the bigger teams in the Pac-12. The goal this offseason is to change that and make the team one of the more dominant ones in the conference.

Buffs Finish National 3x3 Championships

CU's team of Quinessa Caylao-Do, Annika Jank, Kennedy Leonard and Alexis Robinson competed at the USA Basketball Women's National 3x3 Open Championships in the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs over the weekend.

Four Buffs To Compete At USA Women's 3x3 National Championships

COLORADO SPRINGS - For the second consecutive year, the Colorado women's basketball team will send a team of four student-athletes to compete at the USA Women's 3x3 National Championships in Colorado Springs. The tournament featuring 12 teams will be held April 21-22 at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. The winners will have the opportunity to represent the U.S. at the 2018 FIBA 3x3 World Cup in June in the Philippines.

Buffs Ready To Build Off Strong Finish Heading Into Offseason

BOULDER – When the final whistle sounded on March 2 in the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 Tournament, there was a sense of disappointment that the season was coming to an end as the Buffs finished just one game under .500, the mark needed to qualify for the postseason. Colorado's women's team was playing its best basketball of the season over the previous month and, while the postseason looked like a longshot at the end of January, it was within grasp by late February and early March.
