UCLA claims NCAA singles and doubles titles

Pac-12 tennis student-athletes swept the singles and doubles titles at the 2016 NCAA Tennis Championships. Mackenzie McDonald of UCLA won the men’s singles crown and then paired with Martin Redlicki to take home the men’s doubles championship. McDonald’s singles title was the second in the last three years for UCLA after Marcos Giron won it in 2014 and is the Pac-12’s 45th all-time. The duo claimed the Conferences’ first men’s doubles championship since USC in 2008 and the first for UCLA since 1996. The Pac-12 has now claimed 57 all-time NCAA doubles titles.

Pac-12 recognizes All-Academic teams

Following are the 2016 Pac-12 Conference Men's and Women's Tennis All-Academic teams, announced today by Commissioner Larry Scott. To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and compete in at least 50% of the team's matches.

UCLA won the singles and doubles titles

Pac-12 tennis student-athletes claimed two titles at the 2016 NCAA Tennis Championships this past weekend. After STANFORD won the women's team championship last week, Mackenzie McDonald of UCLA won the men's singles title and then paired with Martin Redlicki to take home the men's doubles title. The competition took place at the Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla. The University of Tulsa served as host.
