Washington track and field has added three athletes to its incoming class of 2018-19, as National Letters of Intent were signed this week by Samuel Care from Idaho, Alex Slenning from Oregon, and Washington native Karlee Stueckle.
Fifth-year senior Tori Franzen is still looking to raise the bar in her final spring as a Dawg. The native of Bellingham, Wash. upped her career best in the pole vault to 12-11 ½ back at the Stanford Invitational and last week took second-place at the Pepsi Team Invitational. Having just finished up a double degree in Political Science and Communications, Frazen talked about getting a start on a career and what she'll miss most about college athletics.
Washington's 2018 track season kicks off on Saturday as the Huskies host the UW Indoor Preview, the first of five big collegiate meets set for the Dempsey. First up in a look at the separate event groups is the sprinters, hurdlers, and relays
