University of Arizona's Naoki Takeda has come a long way; from home and on the tennis court. Takeda, a native of Osaka, Japan, has earned his No. 37 ranking, while he's also been trusted in holding down court one for Arizona heading into his senior year.
Wildcat senior Naoki Takeda capped off an impressive 5-0 run at the Jack Kramer Club Classic on Sunday, as he grinded out a dramatic three-set victory over USC's Thibault Forget to capture the singles tournament championship out in Los Angeles.
The Wildcats dominated in singles play Saturday at the Jack Kramer Club Invitational in Los Angeles, Calif., as both Naoki Takeda and Shoki Kasahara went undefeated on the day, while Takeda finds himself in the tournament final after a perfect 4-0 start to the event.
