Huskies Rally In Ninth For Season-Opening Win

Washington scored once in the eighth and exploded for four runs in the ninth inning to flip a 2-0 deficit into a 5-2 win over Santa Clara as the 12th-ranked Huskies escaped with an improbable season-opening win in game one of a doubleheader Saturday at Stephen Schott Stadium.

UW Rained Out Friday Night

The Husky Baseball team will have to wait another day to kick off their 2017 season after their opener scheduled for Friday against Santa Clara was rained out. The teams will play now play a double header on Saturday, Feb. 18 at Stephen Schott Stadium in Santa Clara starting at  3:00 p.m.

Huskies Open On The Road At Santa Clara

Washington (33-21, 17-13 Pac-12) opens the 2017 season on the road with eight games in the Bay Area of California. First up is a four-game series at Santa Clara (Feb. 17-20). The Huskies will remain in California and travel to Moraga and face St. Mary's for four game (Feb. 23-26) afterwards.
