Golfers Sitting In Ninth At UNM's Tucker Intercollegiate

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of Colorado men's golf team opened well but couldn't sustain solid play as the day progressed, as the Buffaloes find themselves in ninth place after the first two rounds of the 63rd Annual New Mexico William H. Tucker Intercollegiate.                   No. 14 Nevada-Las Vegas owns the 36-hole lead, as the Rebels were the only school out of 17 competing here to finish two rounds under par, and barely at that with a 1-under 575 team score.  Washington holds the runner-up spot and appears to be the only real challenger to UNLV ahead of Tuesday's third and final round, as the Huskies were the only school to record a subpar second round team score and are six back at 5-over 581.  UNLV led after 18 holes with a 6-under 282 tally.

Cougs Close Out First Two Rounds in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico: The WSU men's golf team closed out the first two rounds of the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate in 13th place, Friday, September 22nd.  The team tallied a 305(+17) in the first round, but shaved off several strokes in the second round for a 298(+10). A combined score of 603(+27) placed the team five strokes ahead of 14th place finishers New Mexico State and Louisiana Tech (608, +32).
