The Washington men's rowing team took home the James Ten Eyck Trophy as the overall points winner for the 11th time in the last 12 years, but for the second year in a row, it was Yale that won the national title as winner of the Intercollegiate Rowing Association varsity eight grand final Sunday at Mercer Lake.
The No. 1-ranked Washington men's rowing team had all four of its boats advance to Sunday's grand finals, as three of the four finished first in their semifinals Saturday, with the second varsity eight taking second.
The No. 1-ranked Washington men's rowing team won all four of its heats Friday at the first day of the 116th Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships, sending all four boats on to the A/B semifinals Saturday at Mercer Lake.
