Together with local police, fire and medical personnel, the boating community and team physician Dr. Henry Pelto, the UW rowing team has taken the step of establishing a thorough, but simple, plan to deal with emergencies related to cardiac incidents on large bodies of water, known as W.E.T. (Water Emergency Training)
The Washington men's and women's rowing teams will travel east to take part in the 53rd annual Head of the Charles Regatta, the world's largest two-day rowing competition. The Boston-area event marks the first competition of the 2017-18 school year for the Huskies.
