Tom Fawcett closed out his impressive run in the NCAA singles championship on Sunday after falling 6-3, 6-2 to Virginia's Thai-Son Kwiatkowski in the semifinal round.   

Tom Fawcett opens the NCAA singles championship Wednesday, where he's set to face No. 33 Wayne Montgomery of Georgia in the round of 64 at 11 a.m. PT.

A solid effort in singles from Brandon Sutter wouldn't prove to be enough as No. 16 Stanford saw its season come to a close Thursday after falling 4-0 to No. 1 Wake Forest in the NCAA round of 16.

No. 16 Stanford will face a new foe Thursday as the Cardinal sets to face No. 1 Wake Forest for the first time in program history in the NCAA round of 16.

A career-first clinching point from Sameer Kumar sent No. 16 Stanford past No. 17 Michigan 4-1 in the NCAA second round to send the Cardinal to its second consecutive appearance in the round of 16.  

Brandon Sutter claimed his team-leading fifth clinching point Friday as the No. 16 Cardinal swept past Idaho 4-0 to open the NCAA first round.
