Nate Orchard sets Utah record for sacks in a season
Coming into a game against Stanford, Utah defensive lineman Nate Orchard was already having an excellent season. Afterward, it's hard to imagine many of his games were as dominant as the one he had Saturday night.
In the Utes' 20-17 victory over the Cardinal, Orchard recorded 10 tackles and 3.5 sacks against one of the top offensive tackles in the country, Andrus Peat. Orchard set the single-season Utah sack record as well, bringing his total to 16.5 on the season. Perhaps Orchard's biggest sack came in double overtime. It forced the Cardinal to kick a field goal and allowed Utah to win with a touchdown.
