Royce Freeman becomes first Oregon freshman to rush for 1,000 yards in a season
Ducks running back Royce Freeman was all over the field in the Oregon's 44-10 victory over Colorado on Saturday afternoon. The freshman carried the ball 17 times for 105 yards and helped the Ducks race out to a 20-0 lead by scoring two of their first three touchdowns.
Freeman also made room for himself in the Oregon history books during the game broadcast on Pac-12 Networks. He became the first true freshman to rush for more than 1,000 yards in a season. He enters the Civil War against Oregon State next Saturday with 1,050 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns on the year.
