Seven Huskies Named To NFCA All-Region Team

After earning 11 awards from the Pac-12 at the end of the regular season, the 5 Washington Huskies added seven NFCA All-Region awards before the beginning of postseason play. Taran Alvelo, Sis Bates, Kelly Burdick, and Julia DePonte were all named to the First Team, while Gabbie Plain, Kirstyn Thomas, and Taylor Van Zee all earned their way onto the Second Team. The seven All-Region awards match Washington's most ever in a single season, accomplished in 2016.

Washington Readies For NCAA Regional Matchups

The 5 Washington Huskies will play host to the NCAA Regionals this weekend, beginning with a matchup against the Boise State Broncos on Friday, May 18 at 8:30 pm. Texas and Minnesota will also be playing in the Seattle Regional and will face off on Friday at 6:00 pm. All games in the Regional will be aired on the ESPN family of networks.

Huskies To Host NCAA Regionals

For the third year in a row, the 5 Washington Huskies will play host to the NCAA Tournament, hosting Regionals and Super Regionals. Washington was named the nation's five seed. The Huskies have hosted Regionals in eight of the last nine years now and have hosted Super Regionals two years in a row.

Huskies Garner 11 Season-Ending Awards From Pac-12

The 5 Washington Huskies earned 11 awards from the Pac-12 today, taking home seven All-Pac-12 awards, two All-Defensive awards, and an All-Freshman award in addition to Sis Bates' Defensive Player of the Year win. Seven different Huskies were honored by the conference. Bates, Taran Alvelo, Kelly Burdick, Julia DePonte, Gabbie Plain, Kirstyn Thomas, and Taylor Van Zee all earned at least one award, with Bates, Plain, and Van Zee all earning multiple.
