After recording three interceptions against Michigan last week, the Utah defense was at it again against Washington State on Saturday. The Cougars ended up beating the Utes 28-27, as seen on the Pac-12 Networks, but the Utah loss wasn't the fault of its defensive unit, which forced three turnovers on the night.

Five minutes into a scoreless game, senior defensive back Eric Rowe jumped a slant route by the Cougs, softly tipped the ball to himself and returned the interception for an 11-yard touchdown to give the Utes an early lead. It was the first of three scores that put Utah ahead 21-0 before Washington State rallied to beat the Utes at home.
