USC swimmer Anika Apostalon is the Trojans' female recipient of the 2016-17 Tom Hansen Medal. Apostalon won a Pac-12 and NCAA individual title in 2016 on the 400-yard freestyle relay team and helped the Trojan women claim their first Pac-12 team title in school history that same year. Out of the pool, Apostalon took home the 2017 Pac-12 Women's Swimming & Diving Scholar-Athlete of the Year award.
