Washington men's soccer's Justin Schmidt is UW's male recipient of the 2016-17 Tom Hansen Medal. Schmidt was a First-Team All-Pac-12 selection in 2016, and was a Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention in 2015-16. He also spent time working with kids in the community around Seattle. He continues his soccer career by playing in the MLS.
