Highlights: UCLA softball slams Kentucky in NCAA super regional opener

Game 1 of the Los Angeles NCAA super regional between the No. 3 UCLA Bruins and the No. 14 Kentucky Wildcats was a thriller. UCLA saw its early 2-0 lead disappear with one swing of the bat as Kentucky's Griffin Joiner's grand slam down the left field line in the third inning put the Wildcats on top 4-2. Delaney Spaulding was there to save the day for the Bruins and her own grand slam turned out the be the difference as the Bruins slipped past the Wildcats for a dramatic 6-4 win. Game 2 goes down Sunday at 12 p.m. PT.
