Utah football's Isaac Asiata receives 2016 Offensive Morris Trophy
Jan 20, 2017
Utah football's senior offensive guard Isaac Asiata is the recipient of the 2017 offensive Morris Award trophy. The Morris Award is truly a player's award, as the starting offensive linemen vote for the defensive lineman of the year, while the league's starting defensive linemen vote for the offensive lineman of the year. Asiata earned second team All-Pac-12 honors after appearing in 928 snaps this season. He started all 12 games at left guard, and started all 38 games over the last three seasons. The award, which was first presented in 1980, is sponsored by Anthony's Restaurant and Athletic Awards of Seattle.
