Washington uses double pass to get on board against Arizona

Nov 15, 2014

Washington Huskies head coach Chris Petersen has a well-known history of using trick plays to beat defenses. He reached into his bag of tricks again on Saturday against Arizona by employing a double pass to get the Huskies on the board in the first quarter.

Watch receiver Marvin Hall take a lateral pass before lofting a pretty and perfect ball to an open Joshua Perkins as the Arizona defense gets caught looking.

The 36-yard touchdown pass probably won’t be replayed as many times the trickery Petersen cooked up for his Boise State team in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl, but it was just what a struggling Washington offense needed to get things going on the road.
