Alvarez Wins WSGA Women's Amateur Championship

SEATTLE – University of Washington rising junior Julianne Alvarez took home the Washington State Golf Association (WSGA) Women's Amateur Championship title this week, finishing with an overall score of 6-under 210, four strokes ahead of second place. The three-round 54-hole tournament in its 24th year, took place at The Home Course in Dupont, Wash. Alvarez was followed closely by rising sophomore Karen Miyamoto who finished second with a 2-under 214.

Huskies Head to Albuquerque for NCAA Regionals

SEATTLE -  The University of Washington women's golf team learned of their fate for the 2017 NCAA Women's Golf Regional Championships, earning the No. 10 seed in the Albuquerque Region. The Dawgs were chosen as an at-large team after a season that featured four top 10 finishes and two team titles on a lineup of three sophomores and two freshmen. It is the 10th-straight Regionals appearance for the Dawgs and the 24th in program history.
