The GymDawgs will have their first competition of the season Monday, December 4 in the annual Purple and Gold intrasquad exhibition. The Purple and Gold meet will begin at 10:00 am at Alaska Airlines Arena, with admission free to all. Doors open at 9:00 am.
Kristyn Hoffa is back for her junior season with her sights set on improving already-impressive scores across the board. Last year, Hoffa had a 9.900 against Utah on floor, a career-high for her in the first home meet of the season. After an injury cut her season short, Hoffa will be back and stronger than ever for the GymDawgs this season.
Washington Gymnastics announced three signees on Signing Day 2018, unveiling the incoming freshman that will begin competition in the 2019 season. Talia Brovedani, Madeline McLellan (Calgary, Alberta), and Meaghan Ruttan (Calgary, Alberta) all will be joining the GymDawgs after signing letters of intent today.
Roberson enters her second year at UW ready to be a part of the GymDawgs' success. With a year under her belt, Roberson will look to break into the rotation for Washington and make her first competitive collegiate appearance after learning from the team and staff in 2017.
A state champion in 2016, Oh is another of the fresh faces on the GymDawgs, ready to compete as one of three freshmen on the team. Oh finished third in the all-around at the 2016 JO Nationals after winning the beam at regional competition. This year, she looks to continue to build up strength after an injury in high school while contributing to the team on and off the floor.
