With Spring Season Complete, Huskies Prepare For 2018

After going 3-2-2 during the spring season, the Washington Huskies are now turning toward the 2018 season, set to begin in August. The Huskies finished spring undefeated in their final five games and had eight different players score over the seven games, averaging two goals a game.

Get To Know: Ameera Hussen

Ameera Hussen had an assist in her first collegiate game and continued her dangerous attacking ways from there on out.  Hussen became an important bench player, making extended appearances in 11 games off the bench and one as a starter as she helped push the offense forward in 2017.

Huskies Wrap Up Spring Season With Resounding 4-0 Win

In the final game of the spring season, the Washington Huskies took down the Western Washington Vikings in an impressive 4-0 victory. Ameera Hussen, Kaylene Pang, and Sianna Siemonsma all scored in the game for the Huskies, who finish the spring season 3-2-2. Washington's only losses in the spring season came in its first game, against Seattle Reign FC, and during its Japan trip.

NCAA Campus Visit Rules Change

The Washington Huskies have changed how recruit visits to campus will function, in accordance with recent NCAA rule changes on the subject. Recruits will still be able to visit campus prior to September 1 of that recruit's junior year of high school, but Washington coaches will no longer be a part of that process. Recruits are welcome to visit campus and receive full tours from trained UW students, with more information available online.
