In her first year playing for UW, Ava Lewis served as a midfield linchpin off the bench, scoring against UCLA and making six starts in 16 games as well.  So far this year, Lewis has been a defensive mastermind in the midfield, starting 14 of 15 games so far and playing every minute in each of the last six games.

Huskies Fall 2-0 To #6 USC

The Washington Huskies fell 2-0 to the 6 USC Trojans Thursday night in a rainy battle on Montlake.  Defensive play in the midfield dominated play, with just a few shots on goal the entire game for both sides.  The Huskies are 9-5-2 now after the loss and 2-3-2 in conference play.  USC moves to 12-1-1 and 6-0-1 in the Pac-12.

Huskies Face Two Ranked Opponents At Home This Week

SEATTLE - The Washington Huskies return home after two weeks of road games, hosting the 6 USC Trojans and the 2 UCLA Bruins this week.  The Huskies take on USC on Thursday, October 19 at 5:00 pm as a part of Seattle Sounders and Reign Night, with more information on that promotion available online.  The game against UCLA will be on Sunday, October 22 at 2:00 pm.  Tickets for both games are available online.

Late Goal Costs Huskies In 1-0 Loss To #1 Stanford

The Washington Huskies fell to the 1 Stanford Cardinal 1-0 on a late goal, taking the loss in a nail-biter.  Sarah Shimer set a new career-high for saves with nine in the game, the most by a Husky goaltender since Kelsey Rasmussen's 13 against Hofstra in 2005.
