Louise Hansson Wins USC's First NCAA Title In 100 Butterfly

USC sophomore Louise Hansson won USC's first-ever NCAA title in the 100-yard butterfly with the second-fastest time in history, 49.80, and helped the Trojans to the 200y medley relay A final as well on the third night of the NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships at Ohio State's McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion on Friday (March 16).  

NCAA Championships Next For Trojans

The No. 8 USC women's swimming and diving team, led by Pac-12 champions Louise Hansson, Riley Scott and Maggie Aroesty, is set for the 2018 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, Wednesday through Saturday (March 14-17), in Columbus, Ohio.

Trojans Win Seven Events, Tie UCLA For First Time, 150-150

Five Trojans won races, led by sophomore Louise Hansson's firsts in the 50y free and the 200y back, in addition to a victory in the 200y medley relay, but UCLA came back late and the schools finished in a series-first tie, 150-150, on Friday (Feb. 9) at the Spieker Aquatic Center in Westwood, Calif.

The No. 10 USC women's swimming and diving team wraps the regular season at crosstown rival UCLA on Friday (Feb. 9) in Westwood at 12 p.m., looking to beat the Bruins at the Spieker Aquatics Center for a series-best 11th time in a row.
