BERKELEY, Calif. -- Senior outside hitter Amanda Burbridge recorded 22 kills to lead the Arizona State University volleyball team to a 3-0 victory over the California Golden Bears in Pac-10 volleyball action Saturday evening at RSF Fieldhouse.

The 16-14, 15-3, 15-8 victory improves the Sun Devils to 15-8 overall and 7-6 in the Pac-10. The Bears fall to 9-11 on the year and 4-9 in conference action. ASU has now won eight straight matches in Berkeley and are 11-2 on the road this year away from Tempe.

Burbridge (Scottsdale, Ariz.), who was coming off a season low 10 kills in a 3-1 loss to Stanford on Friday, notched her 14th match of over 20 kills in 2000. With 14 digs, Burbridge recorded her 18th double-double of the year. The senior now has 1,460 career kills to rank fourth in ASU history.

Senior middle blocker Michelle Mortensen (Chandler, Ariz.) added a solid match for the Sun Devils with 15 kills and hit .520 for the match. Freshman setter Cheryl Anglin (Queen Creek, Ariz.) recorded 49 assists, adding to her already freshman school record total of 1,091 assists. Junior outside hitter Jami Coughlin (Glendale, Ariz.) was limited to six kills, but pitched in a season and career high five service aces.

The Bears were led by Alicia Perry's 17 kills and Caity Noonan's 42 assists. The Bears beat ASU earlier in 2000 in four games.

The Sun Devils will return for their final home matches of the year next weekend with Thursday and Friday matches vs. Oregon and Oregon State at Wells Fargo Arena.
