Bruins Win Hawaii Tournament

The UCLA women's golf team won the Rainbow Wahine Fall Golf Classic for the second straight year, defeating New Mexico by five shots, at the Kapolei Golf Course on the island of Oahu.

The Bruins posted a team score of 302 in the final round and recorded a 54-hole score of 899. New Mexico, which posted a final round score of 294, finished second at 904, followed by San Francisco at 919 and Washington at 922. Texas A&M was fifth at 924.

UCLA senior Laura Moffat, who won this event last year, posted a final round score of 74 and tied for second place at 224. Freshman Johanna Andersson, who won last week's San Diego State Fall Classic, tied for fourth place at 225 with a final round score of 74. Freshman Gina Umeck finished sixth at 226 and redshirt freshman Saki Uechi tied for seventh at 227. Junior Alicia Um tied for 36th place at 236.
