Nov. 2, 2000

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The Pacific-10 Conference announced Thursday that Oregon State University women's basketball player, Felicia Ragland, has been named to the inaugural 2000-01 Preseason Pac-10 All-Conference Team.

Ragland was a first team All Pac-10 selection following her sophomore season (1999-00). The Tulare, CA, native led the Beavers in scoring (388 points) and assists (86) last season. The 5-9 guard also pulled down 186 rebounds for an average of 6.2 boards per game and finished the season with 63 steals.

Ragland was invited to participate in the 2000 USA Women's Basketball Summer Development Camp/Jones Cup Team Trials with 44 of the country's top female collegiate basketball players.

'Fee is a phenomenal defender and just a great all-around basketball player and one of the best players in our conference,' said sixth year OSU head coach Judy Spoelstra in an earlier interview.

Oregon State opens action this Saturday when the Beavers face RTU Clondica, a travelling team from Latvia, in an exhibition game in Gill Coliseum. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
