UCLA Hosts Holiday Gymnastics Camp

LOS ANGELES - The UCLA women's gymnastics team will host an on-campus holiday gymnastics camp Dec. 18-22 at Yates Gym in the John Wooden Center.

Fourth-year UCLA assistant coach Steve Gerlach will direct the camp staff. Gerlach is a former USA National Team coach who has coached several Olympians and World Championships competitors. Joining Gerlach will be 1992 Japanese Olympian and five-time national all-around champion Mari Kosuge and 2000 NCAA beam champion and two-time Canadian all-around champion Lena Degteva, as well as other current and former UCLA team members and other coaches from around the area.

The camp is open to girls ages 7-14 at competitive levels 5-9. Each camper must have health insurance to participate. The camp consists of five one-day sessions which run from 9:00 am-3:45 pm. Each session costs $85.
