WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - USC outside hitter April Ross has been named the Pacific-10 Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for November 7 - 12, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Ross, a freshman from Newport Beach, Calif., kept the Trojans in the hunt for the Pac-10 title as she hit .417 en route to recording 37 kills (4.63 kpg) and seven errors in 72 attempts in a pair of 3-1 wins over Arizona State and No. 3 Arizona.

In the victory over Arizona State, Ross hit .406 with 17 kills, six digs and four blocks, then added 20 kills, seven digs, three service aces and three blocks while hitting .425 in a win over third-ranked Arizona.

Ross currently ranks in the top 10 in the Conference in kills, service aces and digs.

This is the first weekly honor for Ross, USC 's 24th Player of the Week honor all-time.
