Nov. 14, 2000
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- Washington midfielder Kai Carroll has been named the Pac-10 Men's Soccer Player of the Week for November 7 - 13, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Carroll, a senior from Eugene, Ore., recorded a hat trick at California (Nov. 10), leading No. 21 Washington to a 4-2 win over the Bears and clinching the inaugural Pac-10 Championship in the process. He also helped the Huskies notch their second season sweep over a Pac-10 opponent and finish the season undefeated on the road in Conference play.
Carroll leads the team with eight goals, a career-high for him in a season. Amazingly, six of those goals have been game-winners.
This is the first weekly honor for Carroll and Washington's third Player of the Week honor all-time.
