Women's Basketball To Produce Internet Radio Broadcasts

Nov. 16, 2000

STANFORD, Calif. - The Stanford University women's basketball program will produce internet only radio broadcasts, it was announced today. This marks the first time that the Stanford Athletic Department has used internet only media coverage.

Broadcasts of all 28 Stanford regular season games, and any subsequent post-season contests, can be found at www.gostanford.com.

The games will be called by veteran minor league baseball announcer, and Stanford graduate, Dave Raymond. He is also currently a radio voice for the Triple-A Iowa Cubs of the Pacific Coast League. The broadcasts will include a pre-game interview with Cardinal head coach Tara VanDerveer, and a post-game interview with the 'Stanford Player of the Game.'

The 14th-ranked Cardinal open the 2000-01 season on Friday night at Saint Mary's College at 7:30 p.m.
