Women's Volleyball Downs Washington, 3-0

SEATTLE - UCLA's seventh-ranked women's volleyball team completed the Pac-10 season with a victory on Friday night, defeating Washington 3-0. Game scores were 15-6, 15-6, 15-8. With the win, UCLA is now 20-7, 14-4 Pac-10, and will finish third in the conference standings. Washington falls to 7-18, 2-15 Pac-10 with the loss.

Junior outside hitter Kristee Porter had match-highs of 19 kills and 22 digs on the evening, just one kills shy of her third 20-20 match this season. Porter also hit .467 on 30 attacks, one of five Bruins who hit over .400 with double-figure attacks.

Senior middle blocker Elisabeth Bachman posted 15 kills and a match-high four blocks (1 solo, 3 assists), while Ashley Bowles paired 15 kills with six digs and two blocks.

Also in double-figure kills on the evening were freshmen Ella Harley and Alyssa Rylander, who had 10 kills apiece. Rylander double-doubled with 10 digs on the evening.

The Bruins close out their regular season schedule next week, when they take on Connecticut and either Baylor or UNLV at the Baylor Thanksgiving Classic, Nov. 24 and 25. The field for the NCAA Division I Volleyball Championship will be announced Sunday night, November 26.
