UCLA Runners Compete At NCAA Championships

Bruin runners Christina Bowen and Bryan Green competed at the NCAA Cross Country Championships today, Nov. 20, in Ames, IA.The University of Colorado won the women's 6000m team race with 117 points. Colorado runner Kara Grgas-Wheeler won the women's individual race in a time of 20:30.5.Arkansas won the men's 8000m team race with 83 points. Keith Kelly of Providence College won the men's individual race with a mark of 30:14.5.UCLA's Christina Bowen finished 70th in the women's race in a time of 21:43.3. Junior Bryan Green finished 121st in a time of 31:54.5. The trip to the NCAA Championships marks a finish to successful seasons for both Bowen and Green. Bowen was the top Bruin finisher in six of the eight women's races this season. Green finished in the top 10 of every race coming into today's event.
