Five Soccer Players Earn Pac-10 Academic Honors

TEMPE, Ariz. - For the third time in the past four years, Arizona State's women's soccer team placed five players on the Pac-10 All-Academic team, as announced today by Pac-10 Commissioner Tom Hansen.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.
Senior defender Jessica Bohl earned her third appearance on the Pac-10 All-Academic team by landing on the first team. Bohl was a major contributor to ASU's defense that tallied 10 shutouts and held opponents to a school low 23 goals.
Senior defender Megan Gillaspie earned her first appearance on the team, garnering second team accolades.
Also claiming their first Pac-10 All-Academic honor were sophomore forward Holly Cohen, sophomore forward/defender Lindsey Mack and junior midfielder Antoinette Marjanovic. All three players earned honorable mention status.
Cohen tied for the team high in assists (8) was fourth on the team in goals (4) and total points (16). Mack spent most of the year as a defender, but tallied one goal for two points. Marjanovic finished third on the team in total points (17), goals (6) and assist (5).
