UCLA Women's Golf Signs Two Players

The UCLA women's golf program signed two Southern California players during the early signing period which ended Nov. 15.

High school seniors Yvonne Choe and Charlotte Mayorkas signed National Letters of Intent to play for Head Coach Carrie Leary and the UCLA women's golf team.

Choe, a student at Arcadia High School, is ranked 46th nationally and advanced to the semifinals of the U.S. Women's Amateur at Waverly Country Club in Portland, OR in August. She also placed second at the AJGA-sponsored Nabisco tournament at Mission Hills Country Club after firing a final round 66. She enters UCLA with a 3.5 GPA.

Mayorkas, who attends Hilltop High School in Chula Vista, is ranked 18th nationally and earned AJGA Second Team All-America honors. In August, she tied for fourth at the AJGA-sponsored PING Phoenix event at the Karsten Golf Course. She boasts a GPA of 3.8.
