Stanford's Logan Tom Tabbed As Pacific All-Region Selection

Dec. 6, 2000

Stanford sophomore outside hitter Logan Tom was selected to the 2000 AVCA Pacific All-Region team as announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association today. It is Tom's second consecutive year on the all-region squad.

Tom, a two-time All-Pac-10 selection, led the Cardinal with 5.86 kills and 3.20 digs during the 2000 campaign after missing the first month and half competing in the 2000 Summer Olympics with the U.S. National Team. The Americans finished a surprising fourth in Sydney.

Tom, a 1999 All-American and Freshman of the Year selection, hit a stellar .350 on the year while tallying a team-high 23 service aces in only 16 matches.

'This is an honor she deserves,' said interim head coach Denise Corlett. 'We are very fortunate to have someone of her calibur in our program.'
