The AFCA and Walter Camp Foundation Honors Ken Simonton

Corvallis, Ore. - Junior tailback Ken Simonton has been named to the American Football Coaches Association All-America team, and to the Walter Camp Football Foundation second team All-America team, both organizations announced Thursday.

Simonton was joined in the backfield on the AFCA Coaches team with senior running back LaDainian Tomlinson of Texas Christian and senior quarterback Josh Heupel of Oklahoma. The only other two conference individuals on the team were California senior defensive lineman Andre Carter and senior punter Nick Harris.

Simonton's backfield teammates on the Camp Foundation second team were senior running back Anthony Thomas of Michigan and senior quarterback Drew Brees of Purdue.

The latest two honors add to a growing list for the Pittsburg, Cal., native:
