Cougar Shootout Sponsors Make Holiday Donations

SPOKANE, Wash. - Hayden Homes and The Pacific Northwest Inlander, the two sponsors of theHayden Homes Cougar Shootout have donated more than 120 sets of ticketsto the event to area charities. Recipients of the tickets were theHabitat for Humanity, Martin Luther King Jr. Center, YMCA and Big Brothersand Sisters. The Hayden Homes Cougar Shootout will be played December 8-9at the Spokane Arena and will give fans a chance to witness women'scollegiate basketball at the same venue that will play host the 2001 NCAAWomen's West Regional to be held March 24 and 26.
'For us, being able to give something back is an important part of beinga part of the community,' said Hayden Homes director of MarketingDeborah Flagan. 'We are happy to be able to provide a fun source ofentertainment for those who might not normally be able to attend,especially during the holiday season.'
'The Inlander has always done a great job of supporting WSU Athletics,and we are extremely grateful for their support and Hayden Home'ssupport of this event,' added WSU Athletics director of Marketing andPromotions J.D. Griffith. 'It's great to work with two companies such asHayden Homes and The Inlander, not only for their support of CougarAthletics, but also for their ongoing support of the Inland NorthwestCommunity.'
Hayden Homes, founded in 1989, has communities in 18 cities throughout thenorthwest, including four in the Spokane area.
