Men's Tennis Ranked No. 13 In Preseason Poll

LOS ANGELES - The USC men's tennis team enters the 2001 season ranked No. 13 in the Preseason Collegiate Tennis Rankings issued by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). The Trojans jumped four spots after finishing the 2000 season at 17th.

USC will open dual match play on Jan. 19 against UNLV. The match will begin at 1:30 p.m. at Marks Tennis Stadium.

In singles, the Trojans will be led by junior Andrew Park who enters the season ranked No. 18 after sweeping the SoCal Championships and earning ITA Player of the Month honors in November. Junior Nick Rainey begins 2001 ranked 56th, while sophomore Parker Collins is ranked No. 96.

Rainey, and doubles partner Ryan Moore, begin the season ranked eighth after the pair advanced to the 2000 NCAA Championships. 2000-01 Preseason Collegiate Tennis Rankings
