Don Shaw Returns As Head Coach

Don Shaw has returned from his leave of absence to resume his role as head coach of the Stanford women's volleyball program.

Shaw, two-time National Coach of the Year, has spent 20 years with the Cardinal women's program, 16 as head coach. Stanford has advanced to 12 Final Fours and has won four NCAA titles during that time.

He has a 440-70 (.863) overall record, 229-23 (.909) in the Pac-10. His .863 winning percentage is tops nationally among head coaches.

'I appreciate the efforts of Denise and the rest of the staff during my absence,' said Shaw. 'It's great to be back and I'm looking forward to contributing what I can to the success of our program.'

Denise Corlett, the interim head coach in 2000, will resume her position as associate head coach while first-year assistant coach Kim Oden will remain in that role for the upcoming season.
